This particular mix was inspired by my kids who love, love, love, to listen to BPM on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.  For three months, my kids repeatedly asked me for a dance mix which should include some of their favorite songs from artists like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Flo-Rida, Jordan Sparks, and Michael Jackson.  This mix is a collection of popular chart – topping dance tracks.

I hope you all enjoy this special dance mix I put together and for those of you with kids like me, you can expect this mix to be clean from explicit language.  Party On!

Welcome to another installment of the House Fuzion podcast series.  This month, I’m excited to present an artist out of the U.K. that was referred to me by a dear friend of mine named Eric Flavors.  Mr. Flavors is a Music Guru of sorts who has a real knack for finding songs that make you feel things like nostalgia, happiness, pure joy and other feelings I have trouble putting a name to.  You might have also noticed that his voice provides many of the name drops for me throughout my mixes.  Anyway, Eric says to me, “hey, have you heard of a group called SoulPersona?”  I say, “no.”  I’m immediately intrigued though because I know if Eric recommends someone; a band, singer, jazz tune, whatever, you’d best take heed of his advice.  The man truly has a nose for great music.  So Eric goes on to tell me that I should listen to his latest podcast because he uses a song from SoulPersona featuring a singer named Princess Freesia.  Well, I listened to his podcast (paying particular attention to SoulPersona/Princess Freesia’s track) and I was blown away.  I just fell in love with the production in the song and the singer’s voice.

I have since found SoulPersona and Princess Freesia on Facebook.  SoulPersona was gracious enough to send me a promo of their latest EP and I am honored to present “Gonna Be Alright” as the very first track in this month’s mix. Soulful, hypnotic; a really nice track and Princess Freesia’s vocals are amazing!  Another stand out for me this month is a slamming track from Grant Nelson called, “Brazillian Knights.”  There’s also a nice little unreleased track from Jody Watley.  Yes, that Jody Watley!  The track is called, “Candlelight” and it comes from the Red Soul EP.

Welcome to another installment of the House Fuzion podcast.  I got married two weeks ago (March 20th) and I’m not sure how I found time to get this month’s mix together.  Now I’m not sure how many of you have been to a wedding that was filled with House Music, but let me tell you at my wedding, it was all about House Music.  Most of my friends (and my new Wife) all grew up with House Music and it was reflected in the type of music that we danced to all night at my Reception.  Definitely one of the happiest days in my life.

This month’s mix has a collection of positive-feel good house tracks which is not nearly as mellow as my last couple of podcasts; this mix is definitely a little more “paunchier” than usual and it was a blast to put together.  The mix starts with one of my favorite tracks called, “Superstar” with outstanding vocals from Maiya.  Another track that I really dig comes from a Dub Mix of Lisa Shaw’s “Can You See Him” which showcases the warm & sexy vocals Ms. Shaw is known for.  One of my favorite tracks in this mix is called “Wilder Side.”  I just love this track!  It comes from Rasmus Faber who, I just learned, is a classically trained pianist.  Anyway, this cut is just sick!  “Enjoy Music” is another track that has me grooving uncontrollably and lastly, there’s a little track called “Do the Right Thing” by Quentin Harris.  Harris is one of my favorite producers and this track is proof of his undeniable talent.  Inaya Day’s vocals in this track are just mesmerizing.  Man, I just love that track.

I apologize for the delay for February’s House Music Mix podcast but things have been just crazy for me as of late.  For those of you who know me, you know that I am getting married in March.  For all the weddings I have ever DJ’d, nothing has prepared me for actually going through the process of planning a reception and the challenges and stress that come with it.  So, you probably won’t see another mix from me until early April sometime.

In any case, this month’s mix is one of my favorites of the House Fuzion series.  This mix has a deep and soulful vibe with a small dose of old school R&B sampled jackin house tracks.  This includes a new release from Stephanie Cooke called, “I Owe U” which has a deep and elegant vibe.  This track is just so smooth.  Other songs that stick out for me is an uplifting disco anthem called, “I Got This Feeling” and a track with strong vocals and a smooth underground groove called, “Surely.”  Actually, I found “Surely” by reading through Chicago’s Joe Smooth’s Traxsource Top Ten song picks for the month of February and I am so glad that I found this track.  It’s an amazing song and sticks with you for a while.  This mix also contains a few standout jackin tracks.  One of the best in this mix is “U Can’t Hide from your Bud 2010 Remixes” by DJ Sneak.  This hot track samples Teddy Pendergrass who is one of my favorite R&B artists.  Other tracks with notable old school samples are “I Love Gooooold” and “All The Way Down.”  If you know old school R&B, you will recognize the samples in these songs right away.  Lastly, a new release from Sonny Fedora called “Forever” and I end the mix with an awesome African/Spiritual House track called “El Musica.”  Man, I just love that track!

This month’s classic house mix contains some of my all-time favorite Chicago House Jams.  I put this mix together back in November, 2002; at a time I was feeling a bit nostalgic about some of the best times (and parties) of my life.  All of the music in this mix comes attached to my memories of laughter, fun, and good times much earlier in my life some 20 years ago.
